Response
A witty and contemporary take on the traditional, British ceramics industry. The vase is made up of 14 different plates and bowls, all piled up and arranged to look unstable. Each vessel represents a decade that Liberty has been trading and is designed with the ten years it showcases in mind. Starting at the base, the first plate represents the 1870‘s and working up to the top where the final bowl represents the Noughties. The vase incorporates an inner glass vase into the design to enable both the water and the flowers to be changed conveniently and allows the main body of the vase to remain in a fixed place. The result is a statement piece that captures the imagination and forms the focal point of the room in which it is placed.
